It’s great having a holiday weekend! Hopefully all three of you who are reading this are either retired or getting Monday off work to enjoy some R&R. There are always fun things to do at our local libraries and community centers, but sometimes you have to look in the unusual places for the quirky stuff close to home.

The Spotlight is definitely on the Bedford Blues & BBQ Fest for this Labor Day weekend! They’ll be filling up the Boys Ranch with tons of blues bands like Samantha Fish and Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, tons of food and more. Get there early for the BBQ tastings to make sure you get to try everything.

Did you know that Moviehouse & Eatery in Keller and Flower Mound have $6 tickets on Mondays (not holidays) for showings before 2p? Their Big Screen Classics features Gone With The Wind on Wednesday, September 5th.

Looking ahead, you may know that National Night Out is coming up on October 2, 2018, neighborhood block parties that help with crime prevention awareness. It’s funny how you can live in the area and not know of all the things happening until you find a post like this one. Although now I know of plenty of things I would like to do including seeing the Movies you mentioned although I can’t see my son or husband watching them. But I could see both of them wanting to go to Bedford Blues & BBQ Festival 2018 this weekend.
